FAQs

It preserves a Purāṇic mythic motif involving Rudra and other Vedic-era deities (e.g., Pūṣan, the Vasus, the eleven Rudras), illustrating how later Sanskrit compendia reframe older divine groupings within narrative episodes.

No explicit geographic toponym appears in this verse; it is framed as a cosmological-mythic event rather than a site-specific description.

The verse primarily narrates a reaction of fear and flight among divine groups after an act of violence; any ethical reading is indirect, emphasizing the disruptive consequences of conflict and the vulnerability of status when power is contested.
