आत्मेश्वरजीवः अनात्मनां देहादीनामात्मत्वेनाभिमन्यते सोऽभिमान आत्मनो बन्धः। तन्निवृत्तिर्मोक्षः॥२॥

आत्म-ईश्वर-जीवः । अनात्मनाम् देह-आदीनाम् आत्मत्वेन अभिमन्यते । सः अभिमानः आत्मनः बन्धः । तत्-निवृत्तिः मोक्षः ॥२॥

IAST Transliteration

ātmeśvarajīvaḥ anātmanāṃ dehādīnām ātmatvenābhimanyate so'bhimāna ātmanaḥ bandhaḥ | tannivṛttir mokṣaḥ ||2||

Translation

អាត្មា—ជាអេស្វរ និងជាជីវៈ—យល់ច្រឡំយកអនាត្មា ដូចជា រាងកាយជាដើម ថាជាអាត្មា; ការចាប់យក/អះអាងនោះ (abhimāna) គឺជាចំណងរបស់អាត្មា។ ការរលត់បាត់នៃអះអាងនោះ គឺជាមោក្សៈ (ការរំដោះ)។

Academic Translation

The Self—(as) Lord and individual—conceives the non-Self, such as the body and so on, as the Self; that identification (abhimāna) is the bondage of the Self. The cessation of that is liberation.
