Transliteration

nīlāṃjananibho daityo nihataścāṃtakaḥ purā | tasya rodayitā strīṇāṃ nīlarudrastataḥ smṛtaḥ

កាលពីមុន មានអសុរ​មួយឈ្មោះ អន្តកៈ ពណ៌ខ្មៅដូចអញ្ជន៍ខៀវ ត្រូវបានសម្លាប់។ ព្រោះគាត់ក្លាយជាមូលហេតុនៃការយំសោករបស់ស្ត្រីៗ ដូច្នេះគេរំលឹកគាត់ថា «នីលរុទ្រ»។
