सूर्य उवाच । मा ब्रह्मन्साहसं कार्षीर्वरं वरय सुव्रत । अप्राप्यमपि दास्यामि यत्ते मनसि वर्तते
sūrya uvāca | mā brahmansāhasaṃ kārṣīrvaraṃ varaya suvrata | aprāpyamapi dāsyāmi yatte manasi vartate
ព្រះសូរ្យៈមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ឱ ព្រាហ្មណ៍ កុំប្រព្រឹត្តដោយប្រញាប់ប្រញាល់ឡើយ។ ឱ អ្នកមានវ្រតដ៏ល្អ ចូរជ្រើសពរ។ សូម្បីអ្វីដែលពិបាកទទួលបាន ខ្ញុំនឹងប្រទាន—អ្វីណាដែលស្ថិតនៅក្នុងចិត្តរបស់អ្នក»។
