Tirtha: Vṛddhiliṅga
Type: kshetra
Listener: Dvija-s (twice-born)
Scene: A revered liṅga shrine named Vṛddhiliṅga, approached by brāhmaṇas and pilgrims; the liṅga radiates sanctity, suggesting instant purification through sight.
Purāṇic tīrtha theology holds that darśana of a supremely sanctified liṅga can dissolve accumulated pāpa when approached with reverence.
The renowned Vṛddhiliṅga (associated with the Indrapada/Indreśvara sacred complex) within the Dvārakā Māhātmya.
Darśana (seeing) of the Vṛddhiliṅga is itself stated as the efficacious act.
