Tirtha: Cakra Tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Narādhipa / nṛpa (king)
Scene: A pilgrim-king offers piṇḍa and tilodaka at a sacred water-edge; Viṣṇu’s śayana/bodhana is suggested by a symbolic Śeṣa couch and awakening conch; pitṛs appear as luminous ancestors receiving offerings.
Timing sacred rites with Viṣṇu’s holy observances and performing them at a tīrtha brings enduring benefit to one’s ancestors.
Cakra-tīrtha, where śrāddha is especially efficacious.
Perform śrāddha at Cakra-tīrtha specifically during Hari’s śayana (reclining) and bodhana (awakening) observance times.
