Vyāsa
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Vyāsa, serene and authoritative, commends the king’s question and announces a teaching tied to the dawn of Kali-yuga; a subtle cosmic backdrop suggests a turning age—fading radiance, shifting sky.
Right questioning rooted in dharma invites authoritative teaching; purity and dharma-knowledge qualify one to hear sacred history.
The verse sets up the Dharmāraṇya narrative context; the tīrtha focus remains Dharmāraṇya, though not named directly here.
None explicitly; it introduces an account of what was established at the onset of Kali-yuga.
