व्यास उवाच । एकदा शृणु राजेंद्र यज्जातं दैत्यसंगरे । तत्सर्वं कथयाम्याशु यथावृत्तं हि तत्पुरा
vyāsa uvāca | ekadā śṛṇu rājeṃdra yajjātaṃ daityasaṃgare | tatsarvaṃ kathayāmyāśu yathāvṛttaṃ hi tatpurā
ព្រះវ្យាស បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ សូមស្តាប់ម្តង បពិត្រព្រះរាជាធិរាជ អំពីអ្វីដែលបានកើតឡើងកាលមុន ក្នុងសង្គ្រាមប្រឆាំងពួកទៃត្យ។ ខ្ញុំនឹងរៀបរាប់ទាំងអស់ឲ្យឆាប់ តាមដែលបានកើតឡើងពិតប្រាកដនៅសម័យបុរាណ។
