श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । अत्रैवोदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । कैलासे पृच्छते भक्त्या षण्मुखाय शिवोदितम्
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | atraivodāharantīmamitihāsaṃ purātanam | kailāse pṛcchate bhaktyā ṣaṇmukhāya śivoditam
ព្រះមារកណ្ឌេយៈមានព្រះវាចា៖ នៅទីនេះខ្ញុំនឹងរៀបរាប់ប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្របរិសុទ្ធបុរាណមួយ—ដែលព្រះសិវៈបានមានព្រះវាចា—នៅលើកៃលាស ពេលមានអ្នកសួរដោយភក្តិចំពោះព្រះឥសានមុខ (ស្កន្ទ)។
