śabaryuvāca | niṣedhaśca kṛtaḥ pūrvaṃ sarvaṃ satye pratiṣṭhitam | satyena tapate sūryaḥ satyena jvalate'nalaḥ
Śabarī
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śabarī speaks with firm serenity, gesturing toward the sun and a sacrificial fire; the imagery suggests cosmic elements responding to truth as an unseen law.
Satya (truthfulness) is the foundation of dharma and cosmic stability; keeping one’s prior word is itself a sacred act.
The teaching arises within the Revā Khaṇḍa’s pilgrimage world, where dharma—especially satya—is presented as integral to sacred living.
No direct ritual is prescribed; the verse prescribes ethical discipline—truthfulness and consistency with one’s prior commitments.
