श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । एतदाख्यानमतुलं पुण्यं श्रुतिमुखावहम् । पुराणे यच्छ्रुतं तात तत्ते वक्ष्याम्यशेषतः
śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca | etadākhyānamatulaṃ puṇyaṃ śrutimukhāvaham | purāṇe yacchrutaṃ tāta tatte vakṣyāmyaśeṣataḥ
ព្រះមារកណ្ឌេយៈ បានពោលថា៖ រឿងព្រេងបរិសុទ្ធនេះ អស្ចារ្យឥតប្រៀប មានបុណ្យធម៌ខ្លាំង និងគួរឲ្យស្តាប់។ ឱ កូនជាទីស្រឡាញ់! អ្វីៗដែលខ្ញុំបានស្តាប់ក្នុងបុរាណៈ ខ្ញុំនឹងប្រាប់អ្នកទាំងស្រុង ដោយមិនខ្វះអ្វីឡើយ។
