tataścāpyadhikāni syuriti mārkaṇḍabhāṣitam | aṣṭāśītisahasrāṇi vyāsadvīpāśritāni ca

ហើយលើសពីនេះទៅទៀត គេថានៅមានច្រើនជាងនេះ—ដូចដែល «មារកណ្ឌេយ» បានពោល។ ទីរថៈចំនួន ប៉ែតម៉ឺនប្រាំបីពាន់ ក៏ត្រូវបាននិយាយថា ពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹង «វ្យាស-ទ្វីប» ផងដែរ។
