श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । निर्दग्धेऽस्मिंस्ततो लोके सूर्यैरीश्वरसम्भवैः । सप्तभिश्चार्णवैः शुष्कैर्द्वीपैः सप्तभिरेव च

ព្រះមហាមុនី មារកណ្ឌេយ បានមានព្រះវាចា៖ កាលលោកនេះត្រូវព្រះអាទិត្យទាំងឡាយ ដែលកើតពីអานุភាពព្រះអម្ចាស់ ដុតឆេះ ហើយសមុទ្រទាំង៧ស្ងួត—ជាមួយទ្វីបទាំង៧—នោះដំណាក់កាលបន្ទាប់ក៏កើតឡើង។
