कृत्वा तत्कदनं घोरं नन्दा देवी सुरेश्वरी । यस्मात्स्नाता विशालाक्षी तेन नन्दाह्रदः स्मृतः
kṛtvā tatkadanaṃ ghoraṃ nandā devī sureśvarī | yasmātsnātā viśālākṣī tena nandāhradaḥ smṛtaḥ
ក្រោយពេលបានបង្កើតការបំផ្លាញដ៏គួរភ័យនោះ ព្រះនាង នន្ទា ទេវី អធិរាជនីលើទេវតាទាំងឡាយ បានចុះងូតទឹកបរិសុទ្ធនៅទីនោះ។ ព្រោះព្រះនាងមានភ្នែកធំទូលាយបានងូតនៅកន្លែងនោះ ដូច្នេះគេរំលឹកហៅថា «នន្ទាហ្រទ» គឺបឹងរបស់ព្រះនាងនន្ទា។
