Suta Goswami (narrating a hymn of praise within the Vāyavīya discourse)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: A universal stotra-verse suitable for recitation at any Śiva shrine; emphasizes Śiva’s transcendence beyond mind/speech, orienting the pilgrim toward inner realization rather than mere external darśana.
Mantra: जय जय जगदेकनाथ शंभो प्रकृतिमनोहर नित्यचित्स्वभाव । अतिगतकलुषप्रपञ्चवाचामपि मनसां पदवीमतीततत्त्वम्
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
Offering: pushpa
It proclaims Shiva as Pati—the supreme Lord whose essence is eternal Consciousness—beyond the limited reach of mind and speech, guiding the devotee from worldly prapañca toward liberation (moksha).
Though it describes Shiva as transcendent (beyond mind and words), it is voiced as devotional praise—supporting Saguna worship such as Linga-puja as a means to approach the Nirguna, atīta-tattva Shiva.
Use japa and dhyāna: chant Shiva’s names (e.g., the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the contemplation that Shiva is nitya-cit-svabhāva and beyond prapañca, letting speech and mind settle into reverent silence.
