Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya teaching to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: graded ‘days’ of deities indicating nested cosmic jurisdictions
It presents a graded contemplative order of divine presiding principles, pointing the seeker beyond functional cosmic roles toward the higher Shaiva realities (Rudra–Īśvara–Sadāśiva), aligning devotion and meditation with ascent toward liberation.
The verse supports Saguna upāsanā as structured contemplation: worship may begin with accessible deities linked to time (specific “days”), but culminates in higher Shaiva forms—Īśvara and Sadāśiva—classically represented and approached through Śiva-liṅga worship as the stable focus of Pati.
Adopt day-based deity-dhyāna (contemplation) culminating in meditation on Sadāśiva/Īśvara, supported by Shaiva aids such as japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and liṅga-pūjā with bhasma and rudrākṣa as disciplines of steadiness and purity.
