FAQs

It points to how the manifest universe is maintained through differentiated powers (tejas) and experiential essences (rasa), encouraging the seeker to look beyond changing qualities to Shiva (Pati) as the ultimate support of all tattvas.

The Linga is worshipped as the sign of the all-supporting Reality: while tejas and rasa sustain the visible cosmos, Saguna Shiva is contemplated as the Lord who upholds and governs these functions, and the Linga gathers that truth into a single focus of devotion.

Meditate on Shiva as the inner substratum of sensory experience—observe taste and energy as changing modes, and mentally offer them into the Linga while repeating the Panchakshara mantra, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
