Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It presents Devi’s manifest (saguṇa) radiance as worthy of reverent service, showing that loving attendance (seva) to Shiva-Shakti purifies the devotee’s mind and turns attention toward the divine presence.
Just as the Liṅga is honored through upacāras (ritual services), the Goddess is honored here through chamara-seva; the verse highlights embodied devotion as a valid Shaiva path that leads the mind from form to the formless Reality (Pati).
It suggests upacāra-bhakti—offering respectful service in worship (like fanning, waving, or attending), while inwardly holding steady remembrance of Shiva-Shakti, ideally supported by japa of the Panchakshara mantra.
