Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It frames mantra-realization (Śabda-Brahman) as a practical, staged discipline whose fruit is vairāgya and total release from pāśa—bondage that obscures the soul (paśu) from the Lord (Pati).
Śabda-Brahman commonly unfolds through devotion to Saguna Shiva—especially Linga worship and mantra-japa—where sound, form, and worship converge, culminating in inner detachment and turning toward Shiva as the supreme Reality.
Steady mantra-japa (notably the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with disciplined renunciation—keeping what leads to realization and discarding attachments like chaff—supported by Shaiva observances such as worship, purity, and focused meditation.
