Sūta Gosvāmin (traditional Purāṇic colophon framing, addressed to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter, affirming the Purāṇic transmission and highlighting two themes—Ūṣā’s episode and the Śiva–Śivā marriage—pointing to Śiva–Śakti unity as the auspicious foundation for dharma and spiritual fulfillment.
By naming “Śiva and Śivā” together, it supports Saguna worship where devotees revere Śiva with Śakti—often through the Liṅga as the central icon—understanding that grace (anugraha) flows through the inseparable Pati-Śakti principle.
As a concluding marker, it suggests chapter-recitation (pāṭha) as a devotional act; practitioners may seal the reading with pañcākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and offer vibhūti (tripuṇḍra) in remembrance of Śiva–Śakti auspiciousness.
