The Śiva-Envoy’s Entry into Śaṅkhacūḍa’s City
puṣpadaṃta uvāca | ityuktaṃ yanmaheśena tubhyaṃ tanme niveditam | vitathaṃ śaṃbhuvākyaṃ na kadāpi danujādhipa
Puṣpadanta
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahadeva
It affirms Śiva as Satya (Truth) itself: trusting Śambhu’s word becomes a foundation for bhakti and surrender, aligning the devotee with the unfailing will of Pati (the Lord).
In Saguna worship (such as Linga-upāsanā), the devotee relies on Śiva’s revealed assurances—his grace and protection. This verse reinforces that Śiva’s declarations and blessings are dependable and spiritually operative.
A practical takeaway is śraddhā with japa: repeat the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while mentally affirming the truth of Śiva’s guidance, strengthening steadiness in worship and decision-making.
