नारदप्रश्नवर्णन (Nāradapraśna-varṇana) — “Account of Nārada’s Inquiry”
इति श्रुत्वा वचस्तस्य नारदस्यांगजस्य हि । उवाच वचनं तत्र ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः
iti śrutvā vacastasya nāradasyāṃgajasya hi | uvāca vacanaṃ tatra brahmā lokapitāmahaḥ
លុះព្រះព្រហ្មា បានស្តាប់ពាក្យរបស់ព្រះនារទៈ កូនកើតពីចិត្តរបស់ព្រះអង្គហើយ នោះព្រះព្រហ្មា ជាបិតាមហាបុរសនៃលោកទាំងឡាយ ក៏មានព្រះវាចាតបស្នងនៅទីនោះ។
Brahmā
Significance: Frames the guru-śiṣya transmission (Nārada → Brahmā) that culminates in Śiva-tattva instruction; emphasizes śravaṇa as a purifying means.
It establishes the sacred teacher–disciple flow: Nārada inquires and Brahmā responds, preparing the listener for Shaiva understanding of creation where ultimate causality is traced to Śiva (Pati) beyond mere material processes.
Though this line is a narrative transition, it sets up Brahmā’s forthcoming explanation that directs the mind from secondary creators toward the supreme Lord Śiva—often approached devotionally as Saguna Śiva and symbolized in worship by the Śiva-liṅga.
The implied practice is śravaṇa (reverent listening) and manana (reflection): hearing the Purāṇic teaching with devotion, then contemplating it—supportive of japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) even when no explicit ritual is stated.
