Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating the Shiva Purana discourse to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Promises ‘pade pade’ siddhi for nitya-pūjā—frames sustained daily practice as the true tīrtha yielding progressive transformation and protection.
It teaches that steady, daily Śiva-pūjā performed with exclusive devotion becomes a direct cause for progressive spiritual success, culminating in Śiva’s grace and liberation-oriented attainments.
The verse supports regular Saguna worship—commonly through the Śiva-liṅga—where devotion (bhakti) expressed via pūjā becomes the practical means by which the devotee receives Śiva’s anugraha and advances step by step.
A clear takeaway is nitya Śiva-pūjā: daily worship with focused bhakti—optionally supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), along with traditional aids like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa where appropriate.
