Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Sthala Purana: Colophon closing the chapter ‘Nabhovāṇīvarṇana’ within the Satī-upākhyāna; it situates the episode in the Rudrasaṃhitā framework rather than describing a specific shrine.
Significance: Textual tirtha: recitation/listening (śravaṇa) of the Śiva Purāṇa is itself framed as auspicious, guiding devotees toward Śiva-bhakti and right doctrine.
Shakti Form: Satī
This is a colophon marking the completion of the chapter; spiritually, it signals that the events are framed as śāstra—authoritative sacred narration—where divine guidance (ākāśavāṇī) functions as Shiva’s will directing the unfolding of Satī’s episode.
Though not a ritual instruction itself, the chapter title highlights divine intervention in the narrative world of Saguna Shiva—where Shiva’s purposeful governance is revealed through signs like a heavenly voice, strengthening devotees’ trust in Shiva’s protective, guiding presence.
No specific practice is prescribed in this colophon; the implied takeaway is śravaṇa (devotional listening/recitation of Purāṇic chapters) with faith, as a supportive practice for bhakti toward Shiva.
