कुमाराद्भुतचरितवर्णनम् — Description of Kumāra’s Wondrous Deeds
त्वां विहाय शरण्यं कं यायां शिवसुत प्रभो । सर्वब्रह्मांडनाथं हि सर्वामरसुसेवितम्
tvāṃ vihāya śaraṇyaṃ kaṃ yāyāṃ śivasuta prabho | sarvabrahmāṃḍanāthaṃ hi sarvāmarasusevitam
ឱ ព្រះអម្ចាស់ ព្រះបុត្រនៃព្រះសិវៈ—អ្នកការពារ និងជាទីពឹង! បើទុកព្រះអង្គចោល ខ្ញុំនឹងទៅសុំជ្រកកោនអ្នកណាទៀត? ព្រោះព្រះអង្គជាព្រះអម្ចាស់នៃព្រះពហុពិភពទាំងអស់ ព្រះទេវៈអមតៈទាំងឡាយគោរពបូជា និងបម្រើ។

It expresses śaraṇāgati (total surrender): the devotee recognizes the Lord—here Śiva’s son Kumāra—as the sole refuge, greater than worldly supports and even affirmed by the devas’ worship.
Though addressed to Kumāra (a Saguna form within Śiva’s divine family), the logic is Shaiva: the one worthy of refuge is ultimately aligned with Śiva’s supreme lordship, and devotion to Saguna forms matures into steadfast reliance on the Supreme.
Practice bhakti-centered japa with a surrendering intent—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and offer simple worship (water, flowers, vibhūti/Tripuṇḍra) while mentally affirming: “Without You, there is no other refuge.”
