It highlights that when sacred rites are performed in alignment with dharma, they create harmony in the divine order—bringing collective auspiciousness and joy to sages and gods, reflecting Shiva’s grace sustaining cosmic balance.
Although the verse describes a marriage rite, its inner Shaiva sense is that all auspicious ceremonies culminate in honoring Saguna Shiva as the lord of auspiciousness (Śaṅkara); such events are understood as unfolding under Shiva’s benevolent governance (anugraha) of the worlds.
The takeaway is to perform one’s dharmic rites with purity and devotion, accompanied by Shiva-smaraṇa—such as japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) for auspicious completion of all undertakings.
