Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Sthala Purana: Śiva’s swift coming to the doorway upon hearing the devas’ praise reflects the bhaktavatsala motif—God responding to stuti; not a specific Jyotirliṅga foundation account.
Significance: Affirms that sincere stuti draws immediate divine attention; encourages devotees that Śiva is ‘near’ at the threshold of prayer.
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights Śiva as Parameśvara who is immediately accessible through sincere bhakti: when the devas offer true stuti, the Lord responds without delay, showing grace (anugraha) toward those who seek refuge.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva—Śiva who can be praised, approached, and who arrives to meet devotees. In Linga-worship, the same principle applies: heartfelt stotra, arcana, and surrender invite Śiva’s presence and protection.
The takeaway is stuti with attentive listening and devotion—regular recitation of Śiva-stotras or the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a prayerful mindset, especially at the temple threshold or before the liṅga.
