Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: Taking śaraṇāgati to Śiva (Pārvatīpati) is presented as the remedy for affliction and bewilderment—prototype of refuge leading to grace (anugraha).
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights śaraṇāgati: when even the greatest devas become bewildered and afflicted, true safety lies in taking refuge in Śiva, the supreme Pati who removes bondage and restores clarity.
Calling Śiva “Pārvatī-pati” points to Saguna Shiva—approachable, compassionate, and responsive to devotion—whom devotees worship through the Liṅga as a concrete refuge when worldly and cosmic powers fail.
Adopt refuge-oriented practice: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, praying for removal of moha (delusion) and inner cooling of suffering.
