It presents Śiva and Śivā as the ideal of united devotion and inner discernment: love (bhakti) ripens into suvicāra—steady contemplation on the supreme Pati (Śiva) that leads the soul toward liberation.
Their ‘secret abiding’ suggests inward worship: Saguna Śiva (as approachable Lord) is adored with love, and that devotion matures into contemplative insight—mirroring how external Liṅga-pūjā culminates in internal meditation on Śiva’s presence.
A practical takeaway is silent japa and dhyāna with loving focus—such as repeating the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and settling into calm suvicāra (right inquiry) after worship.
