Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Significance: The ‘deva-measure’ of time underscores divine temporality; contemplation grants a sense of eternity and detachment from human time.
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
Cosmic Event: Divine time-scale (deva-māna) contrasted with human time; hints at kalpa-scale perspective without naming a kalpa.
It presents Śiva’s divine līlā with Pārvatī as sacred, not worldly—showing that the Lord remains Pati (the transcendent Master) even while manifesting as Saguna for the upliftment of devotees.
By portraying Śiva’s accessible, personal form with Girijā, the verse supports Saguna-upāsanā; the same Śambhu who is worshipped as the Liṅga also reveals compassionate presence through divine companionship and grace.
Contemplate Śiva as Śambhu with Umā while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and cultivating reverence (māna) toward the Divine and all beings, reflecting the Lord as “mānadaḥ,” the giver of true dignity.
