द्विचत्वारिंशः सर्गः (Sarga 42): Omens in Laṅkā, Report to Rāvaṇa, and the Kinkara Assault
न च तं जानकी सीता हरिं हरिणलोचना।अस्माभिर्बहुधा पृष्टा निवेदयितुमिच्छति।।5.42.14।।
na ca taṃ jānakī sītā hariṃ hariṇa-locanā | asmābhir bahudhā pṛṣṭā nivedayitum icchati ||5.42.14||
នាងជានគី សីតា ដែលមានភ្នែកដូចក្តាន់ ទោះបីយើងសួរម្តងហើយម្តងទៀត ក៏មិនប្រាថ្នាប្រាប់ថា វានរនោះជានរណាទេ។
"He may be an envoy of Indra or Kubera or of Rama sent with an intent to trace Sita.
Dharma includes guarding truth appropriately: Sītā’s restraint is ethical discretion—refusing to aid an unjust power with actionable information.
The rākṣasī-s report that Sītā will not reveal the monkey’s identity despite interrogation.
Sītā’s steadfastness and prudence—she protects the mission by silence.
