Kanyādāna and the Fourfold Marriage Rites
अथ राजा दशरथ: प्रियातिथिमुपस्थितम्।।।।दृष्ट्वा परमसत्कारै: पूजार्हं समपूजयत्।
atha rājā daśarathaḥ priyātithim upasthitam | dṛṣṭvā paramasatkāraiḥ pūjārhaṃ samapūjayat ||
បន្ទាប់មក ព្រះបាទទសរថា ទ្រង់បានឃើញភ្ញៀវជាទីស្រឡាញ់មកដល់ហើយ ក៏ទ្រង់បានស្វាគមន៍ និងបូជាគោរពយ៉ាងពេញលេញ ដោយសក្ការៈដ៏ខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ សមនឹងអ្នកគួរឲ្យគោរពបូជា។

Atithi-dharma: receiving a guest with honour is a moral obligation, especially for kings, sustaining trust and social righteousness.
Daśaratha meets an arriving guest and performs formal hospitality with exceptional respect.
Courtesy and generosity: Daśaratha models royal propriety by honouring the guest as ‘pūjārha’ (worthy of reverence).
