Dharma includes competence in service of a righteous promise: Rāma’s display is not mere spectacle, but assurance that he can protect an ally and fulfill a pledged duty.
Rāma performs the famed feat of piercing multiple trees (and beyond) with one arrow, strengthening Sugrīva’s confidence before confronting Vāli.
Reliability and protective strength—Rāma demonstrates that his support is effective, making his vow ethically weighty and practically credible.
