वत्सं भारेण कुर्वीत भाराभ्यां मध्यमा स्मृता । अर्द्धभारेण वत्सः स्यात्कनिष्ठा भारकेण तु ॥ ८ ॥

vatsaṃ bhāreṇa kurvīta bhārābhyāṃ madhyamā smṛtā | arddhabhāreṇa vatsaḥ syātkaniṣṭhā bhārakeṇa tu || 8 ||

គួរធ្វើ ‘វត្ស’ (កូនគោ) ឲ្យមានទម្ងន់មួយភារៈ។ ប្រភេទមធ្យម ត្រូវចងចាំថា ពីរភារៈ។ វត្សតូច មានកន្លះភារៈ ហើយតិចបំផុត គឺមួយភារកៈ។
