Narada (teaching within the Narada Purana’s devotional-vrata discourse; traditionally framed in dialogue with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: Vāyu-vrata
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that disciplined observance of a devotional vow (Vāyu-vrata), even for a limited period like one or two months, yields definite results and ultimately supports the highest aim—reaching Hari’s supreme abode.
Bhakti is presented as the inner orientation that empowers ritual discipline: when the vow is performed with single-minded devotion to Hari, its fruits mature beyond worldly merit and culminate in attaining Hari’s padam.
The verse primarily reflects vrata-vidhi (practical observance rules) and phala-śruti (results of practice); it implies calendrical discipline (timed monthly observance) rather than a direct teaching of a specific Vedanga like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa.
