Khāṇḍikya
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta (peace)
Secondary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
It presents the hallmark of successful instruction in Moksha-Dharma: realization of Yoga’s true principle and the resulting chitta-śuddhi (purification of mind), which is treated as a decisive step toward liberation.
Though the verse speaks in yogic terms, it highlights surrender to a teacher’s guidance and inner cleansing—foundational qualities that also mature into steady devotion, where the purified mind becomes fit for single-pointed bhakti.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this line; the practical takeaway is sādhanā-oriented—apply guru-upadeśa to remove citta-mala through disciplined yogic practice and reflection.
