ब्रह्मोवाच । श्रृणु विप्र प्रवक्ष्यामि पुराणं वायवीयकम् । यस्मिञ्च्छ्रुते लभद्धाम रुद्रस्य परमात्मनः ॥ १ ॥
brahmovāca | śrṛṇu vipra pravakṣyāmi purāṇaṃ vāyavīyakam | yasmiñcchrute labhaddhāma rudrasya paramātmanaḥ || 1 ||
ព្រះព្រហ្មា មានព្រះបន្ទូល៖ «ស្តាប់ចុះ ឱ ព្រាហ្មណ៍; ខ្ញុំនឹងពន្យល់ បុរាណៈ វាយវីយៈ ដែលអ្នកណាស្តាប់ហើយ នឹងឈានដល់លំនៅដ្ឋានអតីតកំពូល របស់ រុទ្រៈ ព្រះអាត្មាខ្ពស់បំផុត»។
