Colophon / redactional closure (not a spoken dialogue verse)
Vrata: Dvādaśa-māsa-tṛtīyā-vrata (Third-day vow observed through twelve months)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
This is a colophon that formally closes Adhyaya 112, preserving the Purāṇic transmission by naming the text, section (bhāga/pāda), and the chapter’s topic—here, a twelve-month Tṛtīyā-vrata—so practitioners and reciters can accurately locate and follow the prescribed dharma.
It does not teach bhakti directly; instead, it frames a vrata-narration section whose purpose is typically to support devotional discipline through month-by-month observances and the faithful hearing/recitation of the Purāṇa.
The verse reflects calendrical and ritual organization—using the lunar tithi term “tṛtīyā” and “dvādaśa-māsa” (twelve months)—which aligns with practical Jyotiṣa/kalā (time-reckoning) used to schedule vows and rites.
