Adhyaya 80 — Vaivasvata Manvantara: Enumeration of Manus and the Eighth Manu Sāvarṇi
मार्कण्डेय उवाच कथितस्तव सावर्णिश्छायासंज्ञासुतश्च यः ।
पूर्वजस्य मनोस्तुल्यः स मनुर्भविताष्टमः ॥
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca kathitas tava sāvarṇiś chāyāsaṃjñāsutaś ca yaḥ |
pūrvajasya manos tulyaḥ sa manur bhavitāṣṭamaḥ ||
មារកណ្ឌេយ បាននិយាយថា៖ «សាវර්ណិ—ដែលជាបុត្រ របស់ ឆាយា និង សំជ្ញា—បានពិពណ៌នាដល់អ្នករួចហើយ។ ស្មើនឹងមនុមុនៗ គាត់នឹងជា មនុទី៨»។
