Adhyaya 30 — Madālasā’s Instruction on Household Duties and Naimittika–Śrāddha Rites
नित्यनैमित्तिकं ज्ञेयं पर्वश्राद्धादि पण्डितैः ।
तत्र नैमित्तिकं वक्ष्ये श्राद्धमभ्युदयं तव ॥
nityanaimittikaṃ jñeyaṃ parvaśrāddhādi paṇḍitaiḥ | tatra naimittikaṃ vakṣye śrāddham abhyudayaṃ tava ||
អ្នកប្រាជ្ញគួរយល់ថា ពិធីស្រាទ្ធៈដែលធ្វើនៅថ្ងៃបុណ្យ ឬរដូវកាល (បរវ-ស្រាទ្ធៈ) ស្ថិតក្នុងចំណោមកាតព្វកិច្ច និត្យ-នៃមិត្តិក។ ក្នុងចំណោមនោះ ឥឡូវនេះ ខ្ញុំនឹងពណ៌នាឲ្យអ្នកអំពី ស្រាទ្ធៈនៃមិត្តិក ដែលហៅថា អភ្យុទយៈ (សុភមង្គល)។

Householder dharma includes both regular and occasion-driven obligations; honoring ancestors is framed as a disciplined duty, not merely a personal choice, and auspicious life-events are to be sanctified through pitṛ-related rites.

Abhyudaya-śrāddha links prosperity with gratitude to forebears: ‘abhyudaya’ is outward success grounded in continuity (ṛṇa) and remembrance (smaraṇa).
