The repeated laughter signals Madālasa’s distance from conventional royal pride. Names celebrating conquest are treated as shallow when measured against the higher aim of self-knowledge and freedom from attachment.
Primarily Dharma/Ācāra and Itihāsa-style upākhyāna (didactic narrative). It is not a direct Sarga/Pratisarga/Manvantara/Vaṃśa/Vaṃśānucarita datum here, though it supports ethical instruction embedded in the Purāṇic narrative mode.
The ‘enemy-crushing’ motif can be read inwardly: the true enemies are ignorance, ego, and craving. Madālasa’s laughter hints that outer victory is secondary to inner conquest.
