Kṣātra-dharma in Campaign and Battle: Protection, Purification, and the Ideal Warrior’s End (क्षात्रधर्मः—अभियानयुद्धे रक्षणदानशुद्धिः)
पुरुषाणां समानानां दृश्यते महदन्तरम् | संग्रामेडनीकवेलायामुत्क्रुष्टेडशभिपतन्त्युत
bhīṣma uvāca | puruṣāṇāṁ samānānāṁ dṛśyate mahad antaram | saṅgrāme ’nīkavelāyām utkr̥ṣṭe daśabhiḥ patanty uta |
ភីෂ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «មនុស្សទាំងឡាយមើលទៅដូចគ្នា; ប៉ុន្តែភាពខុសគ្នាដ៏ធំមួយត្រូវបានបង្ហាញច្បាស់។ នៅលើសមរភូមិ ពេលដល់វេលាឲ្យកងទ័ពទាំងពីរប៉ះទង្គិចគ្នា ហើយសូរស្រែករបស់វីរបុរសលាន់ឡើងគ្រប់ទិស នោះទើបឃើញសេចក្តីពិត៖ មួយចំណែកឥតភ័យរត់ចូលវាយសត្រូវ ខណៈមួយចំណែកផ្សេងទៀតវិលវល់តែការរក្សាជីវិតខ្លួនឯង»។
