धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)
प्रादुर्भाव: कंसहेतोर्मथुरायां भविष्यति । फिर द्वापप और कलिकी संधिका समय बीतते-बीतते कंसका वध करनेके लिये मथुरामें मेरा अवतार होगा
prādurbhāvaḥ kaṃsa-hetoḥ mathurāyāṃ bhaviṣyati |
ភីष្មៈ «ការបង្ហាញរូបរបស់ខ្ញុំនឹងកើតឡើងនៅមថុរា ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយកំសៈ—ដើម្បីឲ្យខ្ញុំបង្ហាញខ្លួននៅទីនោះ ហើយនាំមកនូវការស្លាប់របស់កំសៈ នៅពេលយុគសម័យបន្តបន្ទាប់ផ្លាស់ប្តូរ»។
(भीष्म उवाच
The verse presents incarnation (prādurbhāva) as a dharmic response to adharma: when a ruler like Kaṃsa becomes a cause of suffering, a divine manifestation arises to remove that oppression and re-establish moral order.
Bhīṣma, while instructing in Śānti Parva, refers to a future manifestation in Mathurā connected with Kaṃsa, indicating an appearance whose purpose is Kaṃsa’s downfall.
