आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
एवं प्राप्ततमं काल॑ यो मोहान्नावबुद्धयते । स विनश्यति वै क्षिप्र॑ दीर्घसूत्रो यथा झष:
evaṁ prāptatamaṁ kālaṁ yo mohān nāvabuddhyate | sa vinaśyati vai kṣipraṁ dīrghasūtro yathā jhaṣaḥ ||
ភីष្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ដូច្នេះហើយ មនុស្សណាដែលដោយមោហៈ មិនដឹងថា ‘កាល’ (មរណៈ) បានមកដល់លើក្បាលខ្លួនហើយ នោះនឹងវិនាសយ៉ាងឆាប់រហ័ស ដូចត្រីដែលពន្យាពេល និងយឺតយ៉ាវក្នុងការធ្វើការ»។
