Sauptika Parva, Adhyāya 15
ब्रह्मचारी व्रती चापि दुरवापमवाप्य तत् । परमव्यसनार्तोडपि नार्जुनो<स्त्रं व्यमुजचत
brahmacārī vratī cāpi duravāpam avāpya tat | paramavyasanārto 'pi nārjuno 'straṃ vyamuñcat ||
វៃសម្បាយនៈបាននិយាយថា៖ អរជុនបានទទួលអាវុធដ៏កម្រនោះ ដោយរស់នៅជាព្រហ្មចារី និងជាអ្នកកាន់វតដ៏តឹងរឹង។ ដូច្នេះ សូម្បីតែពេលជួបវិបត្តិធំបំផុត ក៏គាត់មិនបញ្ចេញអាវុធនោះឡើយ។ ខគម្ពីរនេះបង្ហាញថា អំណាចពិតដែលបានមកពីវិន័យ ត្រូវគ្រប់គ្រងដោយការអត់ធ្មត់ និងការវិនិច្ឆ័យតាមធម៌ មិនមែនដោយភាពអស់សង្ឃឹមទេ។
