उत्पातवर्णनम् (Utpāta-varṇanam) — Catalogue of Portents
पड्चाशदपि ये शूरा मृद्गन्ति महतीं चमूम् । अपि वा पज्च षट् सप्त विजयन्त्यनिवर्तिन:
pañcāśad api ye śūrā mṛdnanti mahatīṃ camūm | api vā pañca ṣaṭ sapta vijayanti anivartinaḥ ||
វ្យាសបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «សូម្បីតែវីរបុរសហាសិបនាក់ ក៏អាចកិនបំបាក់កងទ័ពធំមួយបាន។ ពិតប្រាកដណាស់ សូម្បីតែអ្នកប្រយុទ្ធប្រាំ ប្រាំមួយ ឬប្រាំពីរ—បើពួកគេមិនថយក្រោយ—ក៏អាចឈ្នះដោយប្រាកដ»។
