श्रीभगवानुवाच कृतो यत्नो मया पूर्व सौशाम्ये कौरवान् प्रति । नाशक्यन्त यदा साम्ये ते स्थापयितुमज्जसा
śrībhagavān uvāca kṛto yatno mayā pūrvaṃ sauśāmye kauravān prati | nāśakyanta yadā sāmye te sthāpayitum ajjasā ||
ព្រះមានព្រះភាគបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «កាលពីមុន ខ្ញុំបានខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែង ដើម្បីនាំកោរវៈឲ្យឈានទៅរកការផ្សះផ្សា និងសន្តិភាព។ ប៉ុន្តែ ពេលដែលពួកគេមិនអាចត្រូវបានដាក់ឲ្យឈរជាប់ក្នុងសមភាព និងសាមគ្គីដោយងាយស្រួលបាន ទីផ្លូវនៃសម្របសម្រួលក៏មិនអាចចាក់ឫសបានឡើយ»
