Marutta–Indra Rivalry and Bṛhaspati’s Priestly Refusal (मरुत्तेन्द्रस्पर्धा—बृहस्पतेः पौरोहित्यनिश्चयः)
वासवो<प्यसुरान् सर्वान् विजित्य च निपात्य च । इन्द्रत्वं प्राप्प लोकेषु ततो वब्रे पुरोहितम्
vāsavo 'py asurān sarvān vijitya ca nipātya ca | indratvaṃ prāpya lokeṣu tato vavre purohitam ||
វ្យាសៈបានមានព្រះវាចាថា៖ «វាសវៈ (ឥន្ទ្រ) ក៏ដូចគ្នា ដោយបានឈ្នះអសុរាទាំងអស់ ហើយបោះទម្លាក់ពួកគេចុះ បានទទួលអំណាចឥន្ទ្រភាពក្នុងលោកទាំងឡាយ។ បន្ទាប់មក ទ្រង់បានជ្រើសរើសបុរោហិតមួយ»។
