Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
धर्मज्ञ पितामह! यह सब मैं यथावत् रूपसे जानना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ी उत्कण्ठा है ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | yo vrataṃ vai yathoddiṣṭaṃ tathā sampratipadyate | akhaṇḍaṃ samyag ārabhya tasya lokāḥ sanātanāḥ ||
ភីष្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «យុធិષ્ઠិរ! អ្នកណាដែលទទួលយកវ្រត (ពិធីសច្ចធម៌) តាមដែលសាស្ត្របញ្ជាក់ ហើយចាប់ផ្តើមដោយត្រឹមត្រូវ រួចរក្សាវាឲ្យមិនខូចខាត មិនផ្អាក—មនុស្សនោះបានឈានដល់លោកអនន្ត។ ការបង្រៀននេះបញ្ជាក់ថា ធម៌មិនត្រឹមតែដោយចេតនា ប៉ុន្តែដោយការអនុវត្តស្មោះត្រង់ និងមិនដាច់ខាត តាមវិន័យសាស្ត្រ»។
