स्वधीतस्यापि च फल दृश्यतेअमुत्र चेह च । इहलोके<थवा नित्यं ब्रह्मलोके च मोदते,वेदोंके स्वाध्यायका फल भी इहलोक और परलोकमें भी देखा जाता है। स्वाध्यायशील द्विज इहलोक और ब्रह्मलोकमें भी सदा आनन्द भोगता है
svadhītasyāpi ca phalaṃ dṛśyate ’mutra ceha ca | ihaloke ’thavā nityaṃ brahmaloke ca modate ||
ភីष្ម បានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ផលនៃស្វាធ្យាយ (ការសិក្សា និងសូត្រវេទដោយខ្លួនឯង) ក៏ត្រូវបានឃើញទាំងនៅលោកនេះ និងនៅលោកក្រោយផងដែរ។ ព្រហ្មណ៍ ‘ទ្វិជ’ ដែលឧស្សាហ៍សូត្ររៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃ រីករាយជានិច្ច—ទាំងនៅក្នុងលោកមនុស្សនេះ ឬនៅក្នុងព្រហ្មលោក»។
